Finks cotton, which is rare even among Giza cottons and cultivated only in limited regions, is still hand-picked to avoid damaging the fibers. Its greatest features are a unique slickness with a high oil content and a dull sheen. The warp uses triple-twisted Finks cotton high-twist yarn, and the weft uses cotton combed yarn, woven into a high-density gabardine fabric. By singeing the surface fuzz of the triple-twisted high-twist warp yarn, a crisp dry texture and a firm, unique resilience are expressed.
