It is still hand-picked to avoid damaging the fibers, and the raw material, rich in oil content, features a unique smoothness and luster. Woven densely on traditional shuttle looms in Hamamatsu, it undergoes a powerful enzyme-based washing process to bring out its rich texture to the fullest. Finally, a special needle processing is applied to the fabric surface to expose the threads, creating a distinctive texture. With playful details such as a deformed collar, higher cuffs, and tucks taken at the armholes, combined with the material’s unique feel, this piece makes a striking impression.
