Finks cotton, which is cultivated only in limited regions among the rare Giza cottons, is still hand-picked to avoid damaging the fibers, and its greatest features are a unique slickness with high oil content and a dull luster. The warp uses triple-twisted Finks cotton strong twisted yarn, and the weft uses cotton combed yarn, woven into a high-density gabardine fabric. By singeing the surface fuzz of the triple-twisted strong twisted warp yarn, a crisp dry texture and a firm unique stiffness are expressed.
